Master In Social Work (MSW)

Outline

 Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) is imparting educational programmes in Master of Social work (MSW) which is affiliated to Utkal University. MSW course provides students with research skills in preparation for various types of social work and projects. After completion of MSW course one may work as administrators, researchers, policymakers and planners. MSW students may join for their sustainable and fulfilling career in various domains of public institutions like at National Health Mission, International Developmental Partners, Non Governmental Organizations, Research Institutes and Universities.

The MSW course conducted by Asian Institute of Public Health

  • Provides a holistic learning environment where students, teachers and facilitators drawn from various academic disciplines, INGOs & NGOs, can enrich one another with their diverse domain expertise and experience
  • Provides mentorship and knowledge transfer from faculties who have rich and long experience, at local, regional, national and international levels
  • Provides flexibility of developing sub-specialties by offering wide choice of elective subjects
  • Imparts training by exposing students to ongoing different programmes and/or by providing internship opportunities for students, depending on suitability of candidates to the openings in institutional as well as external projects
  • Exposes students through field visit, rural camp, onsite programmes, project participation, national & international seminars, workshops etc.

Eligibility

  • The selection of the eligible candidates for admission to MSW program is based on a written entrance test and interview as deemed necessary by the MPH Management Committee
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Arts, Science or Commerce of a recognized University, with 50% marks in the aggregate, (45% for SC/ST) are eligible to apply for admission.
  • Reservation of seats will be made for SC/ST and candidates of other special categories as per Rules

Course Fees

 

Admission Fees: Rs. 10,000 /- one time

Academic Fees: Rs. 60,000/- for two year
